The main problem with this instrument cluster is a total communication failure. Typical symptoms are sudden gauge failures & warning lights turning on. This is caused by a CAN circuit failure. You will still be able to read the display but the rest of the cluster will fail. If you have a 10-12 year model, sections of backlighting behind the gauges can go out. These backlighting issues are included with your rebuild. New halogen backlighting can be soldered in on earlier models at additional cost.
Occasional single gauge failure is possible, but less common. If you see a gauge needle that is past its markings or stuck in a position when the ignition is turned off, you have a cluster problem. If a single gauge is misreading please consult your scan tool or technician for further in-vehicle diagnosis. If you're exhibiting any other symptoms please call us at 770-831-8802.
