This unit suffers from warning light malfunctions, individual gauge problems, and flashing or inoperative digital odometer display. In most cases the parking brake light stays on at all times. In some cases the SRS warning indicator will become inoperative and cause a dinging sound when codes are thrown in the RCM (Restraint Control Module). Warning indicator problems are a extremely common on this cluster. Gauge problems are less common with this cluster, but can happen.
Level 1
Will repair the airbag and brake light issue only.
Level 2
Due to added cost and time, gauge failure is only repaired with "Level 2" (Complete Rebuild) repair. If you are having gauge, power supply, or odometer problems you will need to select the "Level 2" option when adding this repair to your bag. Make sure unit is shipped with its lens attached, this protects the needles during shipping. Please DO NOT ship with shift indicator installed. Indicators tend to break during shipping. Atlanta Speedometer is not responsible for damage if these steps have not been followed.
Self-test: Press and hold the trip reset button while turning the ignition to the run position and let go after test begins. If everything passes the self test, we recommend taking a closer look at problems outside of the cluster. If your cluster begins working normally after the self test, you should still send the unit in for repair. Please do not ship cluster without lens installed, it will cause inoperative needles once cluster is received back to the sender.
