1997-2003 Prius, 2003-2008 Corolla, Matrix, and Pontiac Vibe have odometers that will stop advancing mileage at 299, 999 miles and 299,999 kilometers. Upon sending cluster in for repair, the odometer will be reset back to 0 miles or kilometers. An odometer change sticker will accompany the return shipment and must be placed on the driver door jamb after re-installation of the instrument cluster. - Your Instrument Cluster is inspected, disassembled, programmed, and cleaned.
- Odometer is reset back to 0 miles or 0 kilometers.
- Odometer change sticker is mailed back with cluster, and is required by federal law to be placed on the driver door jamb of the vehicle. (Penalty for failing to place sticker in proper location can be construed as odometer fraud, and punishable by 1.5-7 years in a federal penitentiary.)
