
The most common symptom is the digital odometer display begins to blink off and on or goes completely blank. This problem will be fixed with a Level 1 repair. These clusters also suffer from a problem that makes the cluster randomly power off and the radio/windows not to operate. This power issue will be resolved with the Level 2 Complete Rebuild. The battery saver and accessory delay circuits are also repaired, along with power supply issues that cause gauge failure and radio/window operation issues. If you are having an individual gauge issues the problem is most likely due to a failed sender within the vehicle. We recommend performing a cluster self-test before sending unit to verify diagnosis of gauge failure.
Make sure unit is shipped with its lens attached, this protects the needles during shipping. Please DO NOT ship with shift indicator installed. Indicators tend to break during shipping. Atlanta Speedometer is not responsible for damage if these steps have not been followed.
This vehicle will not run long without the instrument cluster installed due an exciter circuit built into the cluster for commanding the alternator. If you are having issues with the vehicle not starting and you believe the cluster is the source of the issue, the cluster is normally not your source of failure. The F150 of this generation has PATS (Passive Anti-Theft System) within the cluster, but the Super Duty Clusters do not! If the cluster will not power up and you have a no-start issue, unplug the cluster. If the vehicle still doesn't start, the cluster is not your running issue. If your instrument cluster does not power on, you must check you powers and grounds before sending unit in for repair.
