The most common symptom is the digital odometer display begins to blink off and on, or goes completely blank. These clusters rarely suffer from other failures, but can have powering issues that prevent the vehicle from starting. If your cluster does not power on you will need to select the Level 2 rebuild. This vehicle will not run without the instrument cluster installed, due to security information being programmed into IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster). If you are having issues with the vehicle not starting and you believe the cluster is the source of the issue, it cannot be repaired unless the cluster is completely non-operational. If your instrument cluster does not power on, you must check you powers and grounds before sending unit in for repair. If you are unsure on how to perform this inspection, you should seek the assistance of a qualified repair facility.
