All gauges may fail on 98-02 models simultaneously. Individual illumination bulbs burn out and illumination may fail completely due to a failed power supply. If you are seeing individual gauges fail you will need to inspect sensors before purchasing this repair. If both your speedometer and odometer are failing together, you should have the vehicle speed sensor check first. If your odometer continues to operate normally, but your speedometer is inoperative, then the problem is internal to the instrument cluster.
