The typical failure for this unit is poor shifting in the transmission caused by the PSOM. This cluster has a speed output that is delivered to the PCM via the PSOM (Programmable Speed Output Module/Speedometer head). The speed output is controlled by the PSOM, which is located inside of the instrument cluster. This cluster can have fuel, oil, temperature, or voltage gauge issues that will be covered during the repair.
If your digital odometer has gone completely blank it can likely be brought back to life, and typically retains your mileage. In the event your unit is not repairable, another unit can be programmed for your vehicle . Some displays may need to be replaced at additional cost if the liquid crystal has bled within the display. Complete display replacement is not included during normal service. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Contact Form
