The most common issue with this unit is a failed odometer and tripmeter. If you are having problems with any of the individual gauges, we recommend verifying the sender is in proper working order. If your backlighting is flickering or going out completely, we can usually restore your rheostat to proper working order by selecting "Level 2" when adding this repair to your bag.

The rheostat (Level 2) rebuild will:

- Desolder rheostat from wiring.

- Drill out cover rivets to completely disassemble unit and perform acid bath.

- Scrub internal copper surfaces to bare surface and re-coated for solid connection.

- Rheostat is reassembled with stainless steel screws and load tested.

These are old parts. This repair will cover normal operating problems and age issues with the electronics. If your part has been unprofessionally repaired, suffers from water damage, or any other outside influence, additional expenses can occur. When shipping you must send the entire instrument cluster to avoid damage during shipment. If this is ever the case, you will be notified of the additional expense and only be charged return shipping if additional cost is declined.
